Hey, we're at PAX Prime! If you are there, come hang out with us. We are in the corner of Band Land, right next to the Anamanaguchi table. We have loads of cool, NEW stuff and about 10 people crammed behind a regular fold out table.
2 Player Productions, being the supremely classy men they are, invited us to join them again at their PAX table. On top of getting a free table, we were fortunate to have Fangamer offer to drive through LA and transport all our merch for us! We knew they were cool doods, but we have since discovered that they are all that is good and right in this videogame scene. You owe it to yourself to check out their site and treat yourself to piles of incredible game gear.
We invited cool kids Corey Lewis, Angie Wang, Cory Schmitz and Maré Odomo to hang out at our booth and sell their game prints, comics, art, etc. They brought the GOODS: Killer7 t-shirt, Darkstalkers print, Street Fighter print, Pokemon comic, pins, and loads more. Today we're going to have LSDJ carts at the table along with a bunch of modded Game Boys and other hacked chip music gear. Plus, you can grab the third issue of FORT90ZINE, and Japanese zines 8bit love and The Eightbit Fighters Chronicles vol. 1. The icing on the cake: Canabalt print by Adam Saltsman and prototype Eliss scarves by Steph Thirion x LoomLab x Attract Mode.
Boo. Yah.
Hidden Bonus: Mention this post to me at PAX and get $10 off any order over $50.
Check out the products, some rad cosplay and peeps in the gallery below.

It's also the only night you can check out Super Hypercube due to all the specialized hardware involved. Check out the details below. Holy crap, I forgot to post this earlier this week! Things have been crazy on my end, but that's no excuse for not letting you know about the coolest thing happening in New York tonight.
Matt is launching the third issue of Fort90Zine tonight at Babycastles! Get the important info on the event page. In addition to Fort90Zine the party will have performances by Graffiti Monsters and Blue Leader, AND you will be able to play Jizzmoppa, Cream Wolf, and Glow Artisan!
Leave now, you still have time to hang out at NY's only indie game arcade with some of the coolest people I know!

More about Babycastles in their own words:
Babycastles, New York's first independent games arcade, is named after bite-size portugese cakes in Japan. As a new function of a legendary all-ages venue for Brooklyn music and other local DIY-culture, Babycastles offers a physical place to play games made by amateur and independent game developers. The arcade is open four or five nights a week during shows at the Silent Barn, and during the afternoon on Sundays. Babycastles throws an opening party for new games every month, with fresh fruit smoothies, talks by game developers, and plenty of opportunity to play games!

Less than a month from now you'll be able to read the latest issue of FORT90ZINE, the publication that helped spark the videogame zine renaissance currently in effect. Matt Hawkins, Attract Mode's recent +1, is the man behind the mag, and this issue looks BOMPIN'. It contains contributions from Tiny Cartridge all-star Eric Caoili, Brian Liloia, Hilary Florido, and Mariel Cartwright aka kinuko. That's Mariel's wrap-around cover design above, minus all the text and the transparent stripe.
Now that you are frothing with anticipation, head over to the shop and pick up FORT90ZINE Issue 1 and Issue 2. They are just as relevant now as they were the day they were printed.

Watch out east coast! We'll be in Boston in two weeks for PAX East. I got an email from my pal Paul Levering of 2 Player Productions last night. Due to last minute changes, they need me to run their booth. So I'll be hawking 2PP goods as well as all the Attract Mode gear I can stow away on my flight.
This will be Attract Mode's first convention, and a great opportunity to grab a ton of merchandise and save on shipping. Matt Hawkins, creator of Fort90Zine, will be helping me man the booth. He's actually going to be representing Attract Mode at other events along the east coast (more on that later). Matt's a really good guy, and I'm lucky to have his help and convention expertise.
Look for us in Band Land at the 2 Player Productions booth. Let me know that you read this blog for free hi-fives.
