Comics Vs. Games 2

Last year, the prestigious Toronto Comics Arts Festival presented a first of its kind celebration of both comics and video games, called appropriately enough, Comics Vs. Games. And the end result was so spectacular that it’s happening all over again! Except this time, it’s going to be even bigger and bolder…

Comics Vs. Games 2

Comics Vs. Games 2 is an official TCAF 2013 event that will take place both onsite and off, and kicking things off is the opening reception for the Comics Vs. Games Gallery: Presented by Attract Mode.

Myself and my partner Adam Robezzoli have gathered some of the finest cartoonists and illustrators that we know of, to give the world of video games their personal spin. The line-up includes:

Natasha Allegri
Lindsay Collins
Ashely Davis
Daniel Dussault
Jacob Ferguson
Kyle Fewell
Chris Furniss
Zac Gorman
Corey Lewis
Giannis Milonogiannis
Kris Mukai
Maré Odomo
John Pham
Aleth Romanillos
Asif Siddiky
Jacob Smiley
Jovo Ve

Every piece from every artist, be it a limited edition print or some other physical object, will be available for purchase at the show. Drinks and snacks will also be served.

The opening will take place at Comics Vs. Games’ new home, Bento Miso. If you can’t make it Thursday night, no worries; everything in the show will be on display, and be available for purchase, all TCAF weekend long.

Not only that, but the following Saturday will be the Bit Bazaar. Best described as a zine fair crossed with an arcade, it’s where the brightest and the best indie developers that Toronto has to offer will show off their games and also have related comics, t-shirts, mixtapes, toys, and for sale. Attract Mode will also have additional goodies for sale as well. For more information:

Everything, including the opening night festivities, is free and open to the public. See you all in Toronto!

Comics vs Games 2 is a Toronto Comics Arts Festival event sponsored by Bento Miso and co-organized with The Hand Eye Society and Attract Mode.
