Games Games Games

Hey guys. Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time. I’ve been working on a lot of projects (including a ‘lil thing for Attract Mode). And playing video games. There are way too many games coming out lately, and I keep getting them. I don’t want to miss out on anything. It’s hard to keep track of everything I’m playing. Here’s what I’ve been playing the most lately. Oh dear, this is a bit overwhelming.

Ni No Kuni

I had to get this. I mean come on. It’s so wonderful and charming. I love it. Only 5 or 6 hours in, though. But man, pure joy.

E.X. Troopers

I imported this from Japan. I don’t think it will ever come out in North America. I can’t really understand the story, but it seems pretty basic. The gameplay is really fun/fast Japanese action, though. And like Ni No Kuni, it features really pretty cel-shading.

DmC: Devil May

I rented this from GameFly. It’s so fun. I don’t get why people hate new Dante, I think he’s more interesting than old Dante. In fact, I find the whole game to be more interesting to me than the previous Devil May Cry games. I don’t know. Maybe I am weird.

Skulls of the Shogun

I don’t usually like strategy games, but this one is so fast paced and easy to play. I recommend it. The story/writing is great too.

Proteus

Proteus is made of abstract dripping beauty. And feelings. Dear, Esther game me similar feelings. IDK just get and get lost in it.

Persona3-1

Persona 3 Portable

I recently finished Persona 4 Golden on my Vita. It was probably my favorite game of last year (I put over 95 hours into it). I was starving for more, so I started replaying this on my PSP. I played it on the PS2 a few years ago, but only got ~30 hours into it. I feel like after playing Persona 4 Golden I now understand how to play it better. It’s nice to  grind and level up my guys while watching TV. It’s not as good as 4, but the music is fantastic and the gameplay is still pretty addicting.

Antichamber

I don’t really know what to say about Antichamber. You should just go play it.

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Wow I love it. The presentation is out-of-control good. Really fun too. And another great translation by 8-4 Play.

Earth Defense Force 2012 Portable

Haven’t played this a whole lot, but dammit I love EDF. Me and Brandon Boyer played a few levels of co-op online, but he’s been grinding a lot on his own and now he has all the sweet weapons. I gotta catch up!

Persona 4 Arena

This is the first fighting game I’ve enjoyed since… forever. I can’t remember. I play this with my friend Lola, and she beats me 99% of the time, but it’s still fun.

What have you guys been playing?

I can vouch for E.X. Troopers! It was the first demo I downloaded, once I figured out the new Japanese PlayStation Store a little while ago and have played it a bunch of times (so I’m happy to hear its import friendly).

Oh, and I also find the new Dante a billion times more interesting than the old one! Not exaggerating.

I’ve been playing Ni No Kuni on DS, since years ago. Oh, and Proteus.

Cory! You’re making me want to buy a Vita! Want to play so many of these…

Skulls of the Shogun is fantastic. Let’s play some multiplayer. (I’m “attract mode” on Live if we aren’t connected yet.)

Been playing P3P like crazy. I kind of wish there were more games exactly like it, only with less battling and leveling up. I just wanna’ hang out in Japan, make friends, and date cute anime chicks.
