Hey there, fellow adventurers! Are you tired of walking miles and miles in the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 just to get to your destination? Well, fear not! In this article, we will reveal to you the magical secrets of fast travel in BG3. No more wasting time on long journeys, you’ll be zipping around the map like a pro in no time. So, get ready to learn all about the mechanics of fast travel and start exploring the vast world of Baldur’s Gate 3 like never before!
Good news for you, Baldur’s Gate 3 really features a fast travel option that allows you to move quickly around the vast world of the game. To make use of this mechanic, the developers have added Ancient Rune Circles in different locations that will allow you to fast travel to those places. So, if you have an Ancient Rune Circle in a location, you can easily travel there without the need to walk or ride all the way. It’s a great way to save time and explore more areas in less time.
To activate fast travel in Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to unlock Waypoints. Look for glowing purple glyphs on walls and surfaces as they signify the presence of Waypoints. When you find and interact with one, a message saying “You’ve Unlocked a Waypoint” will pop up. To fast travel, follow these simple steps:
You can unlock Waypoints all over the map by going to them once and activating them. This will make the entire map with all possible fast travel locations at your disposal, allowing you to fast travel whenever and wherever you want.
Fast travel in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be used to quickly move to different locations, such as your team’s campsite, where you can rest and meet with companions. You can also use fast travel to move to Ancient Rune Circles, which can be found throughout the game world as you explore. These circles are depicted with a purple whirlpool icon on the map and can be used as a fast travel point to move around the game world more efficiently.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such function in the game. While custom markers and pings are mentioned and even have keybinds, they are not yet implemented in the game. However, there is hope that this feature could be added to the final game release. So, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope we can add our own cool notations soon!
Baldur’s Gate 3 features a Fast Travel function, which allows players to move quickly around the vast game world. To activate Fast Travel, players need to unlock Waypoints that appear as glowing Ancient Rune Circles on walls and rocks. Once you’ve unlocked a Waypoint, it will show on the map as a purple whirlpool icon, and you can teleport there at any time using the unlocked waypoints. Fast Travel is particularly useful when you want to return to your team’s campsite or a previously visited location quickly. However, players should keep in mind that custom waypoints are currently not available in the game. Overall, if you want to save time and avoid walking around the large game world, be sure to try out the Fast Travel function in Baldur’s Gate 3.
