Hey there, fellow adventurer! Ready for a new quest in Baldur’s Gate 3? Well, hold on to your spellbooks because we’re about to embark on a journey to find the mysterious location of the Moonrise Towers! In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps needed to progress in the in-game quest, including how to get to the Moonrise Towers and what to expect once you arrive. So, grab your weapons, cast your spells, and let’s get started on this epic adventure!

Where Are Moon Towers Located in Baldur’s Gate 3?

If you’re wondering where to find Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, then look no further! This fortified building is located to the west of Elturel. According to the game’s storyline, the Absolute wretches are said to be rallied at Moonrise Towers, and whoever is behind the magic preventing the parasite from being removed must be there. However, please note that the quests involving Moon Towers are only available in Act 2 of the game, which unfortunately isn’t currently available in the early game version of Baldur’s Gate 3.

How Can I Start a Quest with Moon Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3?

To start the quest with Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, players must first talk to Halsin. He will mention three paths to reach the towers: the Risen Road, a mountain pass, and the tunnels in the Underdark. However, currently, only the tunnels in the Underdark are accessible. Head back to the Goblin Camp and kill all the goblins that attack you. You can recruit Ogres from the Blighted Village to help you out. Then, ask Halsin about how to get to the Underdark, and he will mention a tunnel leading there from the temple of Selune. From there, players must navigate through the tunnels to reach Moonrise Towers. It’s important to note that this quest is not entirely finished by the developers at Larian Studios as of yet.

Returning to the Shattered Sanctum

To reach Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, players need to return to the Shattered Sanctum and enter the room with the Ornate Door in the southwestern corner. They will encounter an ogre named Polma, whom they need to defeat to proceed. After taking out Polma, players can either head east to solve a puzzle or search the room for clues. It is crucial to find the Priestess Journal to get a clue if Polma is still alive. Upon entering the eastern room, players will perform an Investigation roll and notice the moving floor plates in the center of the room with symbols on them.

How Can I Solve a Moon Puzzle?

If you’re into puzzles and want to solve the Moon puzzle, you’ll need to rotate the plates until they match the screenshot provided in this walkthrough. To help you out, the Priestess Journal and the light shining down both offer subtle clues. However, if you’d rather skip the puzzle altogether, you can make a successful perception roll and pick a lock instead. Look for one of the many Selune symbols on the wall and bring each of your party members over until one succeeds in noticing the lever. Then, use a set of Thieves’ Tools to successfully pick the lock on the lever and open the tunnel. Regardless of how you proceed, you’ll eventually reach the Selunite Outpost area.

Going Deeper into the Underdark

To proceed to the Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, players need to make their way through the Underdark, dealing with two hulking Minotaurs and avoiding dangerous mushrooms. They will come across a group of fungus-looking creatures who will invite them to meet Spaw, the Sovereign. Spaw will ask the players to cleanse the rot and kill the duergar for their aggression, offering treasure in return. While completing this quest is not necessary to finish Reach the Moonrise Towers, it is recommended as it will help with Gale’s companion quest. After speaking with Spaw, players can talk to two merchants, Blurg and Deryth Bonecloak, who offer their own quests. Blurg can help with the mind flayer parasite in the player’s head while Deryth’s quest revolves around finding her missing husband.

Recruiting Glut For Help

Players can recruit Glut to help them with the challenges in the Path to Moonrise Towers. Glut is a unique-looking Myconid, and speaking with him will start a side quest called Avenge the Sovereign, which aligns with Protect the Myconid Circle. As the duergars in the area can be tough to deal with, players might want to get Glut’s help. He has a unique ability to reanimate named duergars to fight for the players instead. For instance, Holvik is a great character to reanimate as he has a crossbow.

You Are Almost There – Moonrise Towers

After dealing with the duergars, players should make their way right to the Moonrise Towers to continue their adventures in Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s time to move forward and see what awaits them in this new location. While Glut may demand their attention for his side quest, players can choose to proceed with the main story or take on Glut’s quest before heading to the towers. Whatever they decide, the Moonrise Towers are the next step to progress through the game.
