Baldur’s Gate 3 Roadmap

Larian Studios released Baldur’s Gate 3 first game version, Early Access, on October 6th, 2020. We are in 2023, and the game is still in its early access stage. The game developer promised to feature three game stages in Baldur’s Gate 3, and over two years down the line, we’ve only had one.

Most Baldur’s Gate fans are done with the Early Access adventures and can’t wait to proceed to the next, and there is no roadmap to give us a hint of what to expect. We don’t know what is to be the next game installment. If you are wondering when the next will be available, read along to know everything about Baldur’s Gate 3 locations, development, and release date.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Development Roadmap

There are lots of concerns regarding the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 acts. This game installment is still developing, and players must wait for Larian Studios to complete the masterpiece. If you are through with Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access, you will have to wait until August to advance to the next act.

Larian Studios confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3’s full version would be available to players worldwide in August 2023. They decided not to release the roadmap since they don’t want the calendar dates to determine their progress. This is a smart move; however, the longer they take, the more the anticipation builds.

There is only one act in Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access, plus the prologue. Many players have completed the act and wish to proceed to the next act. If you haven’t completed it, the Early Access will take you less than 30 hours to beat the game. This, however, is an estimate for those who have mastered the game controls and have good combat skills.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access Roadmap

If you have played Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ve noticed that the game is restricted. Players cannot explore all areas, and other gameplay features, such as character development, are regulated. This is because Larian Studios made no roadmap for the game. The move was to create time and allow the development team to develop a great game.

The game developer didn’t anticipate for the first game installment to receive huge success as it did. Millions of players worldwide purchased the first game version, and most are through. There is huge pressure from these gamers who can’t wait to continue with their Baldur’s Gate action.

According to a tweet from the game developer, Baldur’s Gate 3 sales were insane in Early Access. Larian Studios wanted to give the community a small taster of what’s coming next, and the teaser blew up. The tweet goes on to ask, ‘What are we going to do?’

Don’t get it twisted; this doesn’t mean the game developer messed up. Larian Studios is a giant gaming company with over 400 workers in their international offices. We are confident they will finish and grace us with amazing graphics and a storyline. Baldur’s Gate 3’s next game installment will be better and huge; however, players must be patient and give Larian Studios more time to do what they are good at.

The expectations for the next title are huge, and if Larian Studios were to make a below-par release, it would damage the progress made by Early Access. Therefore, we have to be patient, and you can also choose to replay the previous adventures to master the game basics. According to various player reviews, many players found Early Access a challenging experience, and the next title will be more demanding. Therefore, why not use the time to revisit Early Access, and perfect your combat skills?

Is There Going to Be a Baldur’s Gate 3 Roadmap?

Larian Studios didn’t intend to have a roadmap for the next Baldur’s Gate game release. This was to reduce the pressure accumulating as the stated release date fast approaches. However, they are receiving huge pressure from the fans, and an official roadmap from them will be a huge boost.

There is no roadmap; however, we have huge faith in the game developer to deliver. They promised to make the full game version in August, and we trust them to live up to the game.

As much as players demand the next installment, no one wants an incomplete game. If we were to force the game developer into an early release, the game wouldn’t be satisfactory. It is best to give Larian more time to perfect the game and get rid of any bugs and technical issues so that when the game launches, we all enjoy a smooth gaming experience.

The Bottom Line

There is no Baldur’s Gate 3 roadmap to guide us on Larian Studios’ game development progress. If you have enjoyed Early Access and wish for the next acts to be magical, you must be patient and wait for the incredible development team to work their magic. In the meantime, you can replay the previous act in Early Access and perfect your combat skills.
